Ethylene Cracking Furnace

Ethylene is a base olefins which is a base product for many syntheses in the petrochemical industry such as plastics, paints, cosmetics solvents and more.

In the center of the production of ethylene is a cracking furnace where feedstock ranging from ethane to gas oil are heated and cracked to ultimately produce the base material ethylene. The cracking process produces hot gas loaded with coke fines that settle in the furnace itself and the piping system. These particles together with the high process temperature present the major difficulty for valves to ensure good sealing performance. This is especially true for valves that are designed with the seats constantly exposed to the process.

For this process MIAM produces high quality plug valves that ensure that the valve seats are protected from the process while the valve is in open or the closed position. MIAM plug valves ensure a reliable and long lasting quality shut off at a very favorable cost of ownership.

We would be very pleased to assist you for the correct application of our valves in your process plant or for further questions or information that you may have.
